DCRC at MeCCSA and week one of 2011 (weekending 07012011)

As trees are fed into chipping machines, decorations are foisted back into lofts and cupboards and resolutions are discarded we find ourselves at the end of the first week of 2011. We're already busy!  Funding applications and journal articles have been finalised and conference papers have been written. In the broader Pervasive Media Studio community, we have enjoyed a return of the buzz in a busy studio - culminating in a great presentation by Jo Reid, Creative Director of Calvium on Friday afternoon.

The coming week for the DCRC is dominated by the Media Communications and Cultural Studies Association annual conference, which is being held in Salford.  Members of the DCRC are giving a panel session concerning 'The Promise and Problematic of Pervasive Media' (abstracts for the talks are available from the linked page). We hope to see you there!
