The DCRC are delighted that both our i-Docs website and Senior Research Fellow Mandy Rose's CollabDocs website both feature as resources on the lovely Tribeca Film Institute sandbox website.

We are sure that this is yet another sign of the growing international and interdisciplinary conversation around themes of collaboration and interaction in the continuing evolution of the documentary format.

On her Collabdocs blog, Senior Research Fellow Mandy Rose has collected together 12 tweets from 2012 that reflect an exciting year in interactive documentary. Mandy's review of the year provides a fantastic overview of the wealth of activity in this exciting new field, to which she is an important contributor.

Mandy Rose has pointed to a recently posted video of a talk she gave at a BBC Academy event, the focus was on crowd-funding, collaboration, and "connected documentary".

The DCRC team are variously taking holiday and engaging in research activities away from desks and so we are offering an overview of some of our summertime activities in this post. Normal service for weekly blogging will return in September.

The 136th and 137th weeks of the DCRC brought talks both in the studio and further afield and our own small contribution to the 'entente cordiale', with a visit from Christian Fauré, of Ars Industrialis.

As the seasonal parties begin in earnest the DCRC team would like to wish everyone compliments of the season as we look forward to a productive 2012.

The week ending the 9th of December saw research engagements near and far, brought renewed discussions of the work of Bernard Stiegler, and launched the first ideas lab for the REACT hub, in Exeter.
