Masters

The DCRC works closely with a number of masters level programmes at UWE, in particular the MA/Msc Creative Media Technologies. The course is creative and challenging: integrating practice and theory, and encouraging collaboration, innovative approaches, and connections with the creative environments of the Pervasive Media Studio and beyond. Students work in flexible studio spaces on campus and at the Pervasive Media Studio, developing their own ideas, expertise, and passions, but also working collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.

Innovative teaching in the Pervasive Media Studio

Some projects are run as live briefs for partner cultural industry organisations, or for external artists-practitioners. Masters students also engage with the research culture at UWE and the Pervasive Media Studio, attending talks, seminars and project testing, and are invited to join in with research activities, such as Play Research Group play testing, and with research events, such as i-Docs.
