Jonathan Mosley
Jonathan Mosley is a conceptual artist/architect and Associate Professor of Architecture and Experimental Practice at UWE Bristol. He is co-founder of international research initiative Radical Architecture Practice for Sustainability, member of Document and Location and theARENA European network. Jonathan specializes in the interface between architecture, art and more recently psycho-social studies, examining cultures of occupation of architectural space towards more equitable, playful and collective co-existence. His collaborative studio Warren and Mosley with artist Sophie Warren develops challenging research-based events, publications, exhibitions and installations that create new thinking around entanglement between human and non-human entities, spatial negotiation, participation and play. They have been commissioned by Tate Modern ‘Days of Action’ ; Institut Francais, Arts Council, British Council as international artist laureates at French Communist Party HQ; Casco, The Showroom, Spike Island, Firstsite ‘Rogue Game’ ; Moderna Museet, Eastside Projects, Santralistanbul ‘Utopian Talk-Show Line-Up’ ; AHRC and Errant Bodies ‘Beyond Utopia’ .
