Jo Lansdowne

Jo is Executive Producer of Pervasive Media Studio at Watershed; supporting research activity, artist development and the resident community to make brilliant work. She is also a Visiting Professor at UWE Bristol’s Digital Cultures Research Centre. She is interested in methodologies that bring people together in collaborative rather than competitive forms of production.

Dr Erinma Ochu and Jo have committed to spending time together as mutual study partners, developing their own research areas whilst working together to weave connections and find the common ground between them. Jo’s research focus is on Whiteness as an individual, structural and planetary process of using up the world. Through practice-based research in the context of Pervasive Media Studio, she will ask how we make visible, and challenge, the ways in which Whiteness monopolises research and development resources. Jo and Erinma aim to create mutually supportive ways of living and working that build trust and respect in a world that often makes that difficult.
