MyWorld
Building on the existing creative strength in the West of England region, MyWorld is exploring the future of creative technology innovation by pioneering new ideas, products and processes. Creating the opportunity for businesses to access pre-market research, world class facilities, funding, tools and training.
Bringing together 13 diverse, world-leading partners across academia and industry, MyWorld is using investment into creative technology innovation to stimulate growth and societal change in the industry and in the region.
Experimental Productions
Lead by DCRC’s Mandy Rose, Experimental Productions is the storytelling heart of MyWorld. Bringing together big stories and storytellers to test technologies developed by other areas of MyWorld to create new ways of delivering and telling stories.
Fair Creative Economies
As part of the £30M MyWorld programme, the Fair Creative Economies team will be researching and supporting the development of robust, low-carbon, high inclusion, high democracy alternatives to existing practices within the creative industries.
Between 2021 and 2026, Fair Creative Economies will be exploring diverse economic practices, new ways of understanding value in our cities and regions, and ways to support creative companies to organise for social good. This is a collaboration between DCRC’s Creative Economies Lab, a research and delivery team within the research centre, and Martin Parker at University of Bristol.
